Give Help

Donate food & essentials

As the cost of essentials continues to rise, many local people and families need our emergency support. Your generosity will directly help local people.

At this challenging time we are so grateful for all your support. Each and every item donated makes a difference to those we support and helps ensure we can give everyone a balanced and nutritious supply of food and everyday essentials.

Please check the list on the right before donating food and essentials. We update it regularly so you can see what’s most needed right now. Or download the Bank the food app to your phone and have our most wanted list at your fingertips when you shop.

WAYS TO GIVE

  • Support our winter appeal  by donating items we need.
  • Give food online via ForCommonGood or on Amazon. Our wishlist highlights the items we’re most in need of – and it will be delivered directly to us.
  • Donate at East Lothian Foodbank collection points below. Please check our most needed list (on right) and please only donate items that are in-date and unopened, as otherwise we’re not able to give them away. Tesco collection points are for in-store shoppers only, as they kindly offer a top-up payment based on items purchased and donated there. Thanks.
  • Give a financial donation, which we’ll continue to use where the need is greatest as we support local people.
