Easter Round-up

31st March 2016

We had a busy time leading up to Easter as we had a great many Easter eggs donated through the appeal on East Coast FM and a lot donated by the three local Royal Bank of Scotland branches. We thank these two organisations.

To date we can tell you that we have given out to clients of the foodbank and to local community groups a staggering total of 244 Eggs……… we have also given out small eggs and chocolate bunnies to groups having Easter Egg hunts. We’ll continue to give out Eggs until we have none left.

We’ve also helped the Stepping Out mental health project with items for their lunch club and Dementia Friendly Dunbar with items for their singing project.

The American choir, The MIT Cross Products, appeared and sang on the 20th of March at Longniddry Parish Church raising a fantastic £306 from a collection and this will go towards the Foodbank running costs.

It was a busy time for all, next project will be to collect the end of year statistics so look out for those.
