CO-OP SERVES-UP “TROLLEY-LOADS” OF SUPPORT FOR EAST LOTHIAN FOODBANK

29th June 2017

Co-op food stores in East Lothian have launched a bid to serve-up trolley-loads of support for us this month.

It’s great to have the support of the Co-op as we face ever increasing levels of demand. It is only with the help of the community that we’re able to continue our work. We would love for there not to be a need for the food bank, but whilst there are people facing crisis in the East Lothian area, we will continue to offer emergency support.

Graeme Cranston, Area Manager for the Co-op, said: “As a community retailer we are pleased to support the foodbank and its work to make a difference to the lives of people locally who are in difficulty. We now have nine stores in the area supporting the appeal and we would like to say thank you to our members and customers whose generous donations will make a huge difference to people in need in our community.”

Look out for collection points in the following Co-ops this month: Dunbar High Street, Port Seton, Prestonpans, Tranent, North Berwick, Haddington, Ormiston and Gifford.

If you’re in the stores and able to pop a tin/packet in our trolly we would be very grateful.
