A Christmas Message from our Director

18th December 2020

It unfortunately isn’t a Merry Christmas for everyone in our community, especially this year. There are many people who will face continued food poverty and those who will experience it for the first time due to the impact of Covid. This is not ok, no one should go hungry. This is why we do what we do, we wish we didn’t exist and the need for us wasn’t there, but we are so thankful that we are in position to help as it’s so needed. The reason we are able to support those in need is thanks to the wonderful East Lothian community. To the volunteers who work tirelessly and give us their time so generously, we thank you for all you do. To every single person who has donated even one tin, we thank you for your kindness.

There is no message more fitting to Christmas than giving to others and the East Lothian people have Christmas spirit in abundance! We are so grateful for you and wish you all the Merriest of Christmases and the Happiest of New Years. May everyone’s wishes for a more peaceful and prosperous 2021 come true.
