Wander4Wellbeing raises over £900

18th October 2021

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in Wander4Wellbeing last month whether you walked, baked, donated or simply went along for a blether, a cuppa and a treat.

Thank you! You’re amazing and raised over £900. We’re so lucky to have such an imaginative and creative group of supporters.

Wander4Wellbeing was organised by the amazing team at Bodycarewecare as an opportunity for people of all ages to connect with the stunning East Lothian countryside with the overall goal of raising as much money as possible for the East Lothian Foodbank. It was a truly inclusive event for all ages and abilities. There were three walking routes aimed at suiting all tastes, ages and experience levels. Those wanting to stay close to the starting point could enjoy a walk around Amisfield Walled Garden in the afternoon. Such a gorgeous place to wander and enjoy the gardens.  The more adventurous could take part in a section of the river walk, driving to Hailes Castle and then walking along the river to Amisfield, a total of just under five miles. Finally those who wanted more of a challenge could take part in the 12-mile round trip which left Amisfield Walled Garden heading to Traprain along the River Tyne, passing Sandy’s Mill, Hailes Castle and Hailes Mill and up Traprain Law before heading back to Amisfield along the same route.

We’re glad the sun shone and you got to relax in the stunningly beautiful Amisfield Walled Garden.
