Donate food

Our foodbank relies on your goodwill and support.

All the food which goes into our standard food parcels is donated by the public – that’s why your food donations are absolutely vital to our ability to give everyone referred to by us a balanced and nutritious three-day supply of food.

Our shopping list on the right shows the food items that we need right now.

If you are happy to drop off food donations, you can either pop into the foodbank during our opening hours, or visit one of our local food collection points. Local collection points can be found in:

Local libraries:

  • Dunbar
  • East Linton
  • Haddington
  • Musselburgh
  • North Berwick
  • Port Seton
  • Prestonpans
  • Tranent (George Johnson Centre)

Local churches including all Church Of Scotland churches, St Gabriels (Prestonpans), Holy Trinity (Haddington), St. Martins (Tranent).

Other drop off points include North Berwick NISA, North Berwick Community Centre, Musselburgh and North Berwick and Musselburgh Tesco stores, and The Party Shop Prestonpans.

We also accept donations of toiletries which we distribute with food parcels as requested.

Please contact us if you have any questions about donating food. We always welcome donations and promise to use them to provide help to people in crisis. Occasionally we send food to other nearby foodbanks to support their work particularly if they experience shortages. This ensures your donations go to help people wherever in the UK they are.
