Our vision is for a UK without the need for foodbanks. Our strategy sets out how we’re going to get there.

We want to ensure everyone can afford the essentials in life. We’re working towards a compassionate, just society without the need for large-scale emergency food distribution.

Shaping our Community

Our values are integral to the work of our dedicated team of volunteers, staff and community partners. In 2024 we finalised our new strategy for East Lothian. This ensures our services are designed to meet the needs of the community and provides the opportunity for everyone to thrive, prosper and have hope.

Our Vision

East Lothian is a community free from poverty, where everyone has hope for the future.

Our Mission

To provide emergency food and daily essentials for those without enough money to live on; to work with community partners in providing effective advice and support for those living with financial hardship; and to influence policy towards the eradication of poverty in East Lothian.
