We are absolutely hole-in-one proud of what two of our amazing supporters have
accomplished and we can’t wait to share their story with you.
On 22 June, Edward Danks and Fraser Symon, partners at East Lothian law firm
Paris Steele teed up for an extraordinary golf endurance challenge at the beautiful
Luffness New Golf Club. Playing 100 holes of golf in a single day, the pair covered
over 30 miles on foot, clocked up more than 57,000 steps each, and kept going for
14½ hours straight. Tired, achy, and with very sore feet but absolutely unstoppable.
The challenge was extra special for another reason too. This year marks Paris
Steele's centenary, 100 years of serving the East Lothian community. Edward and
Fraser wanted to mark that milestone by giving something meaningful back. They
chose to support us and the community we serve. That means the world to us.
And the result? £3,442 raised for people in our community facing hardship helping
local families put food on the table, supporting the volunteers and strengthening our
community when it needs it most.
We are so grateful to Edward, Fraser, and everyone at Paris Steele for their
generosity and their spirit. And to everyone who donated and cheered them on,
thank you. We’re hoping their legs have recovered now, but the difference they've
made will last far longer.

"As Paris Steele celebrates 100 years at the heart of East Lothian, it was important to us that this milestone reflected not only our history as a firm, but also the community that has supported us through generations. For a century, local people have placed their trust in us during some of the most important moments in their lives, and we wanted to mark this occasion by giving something meaningful back. East Lothian Foodbank provides an essential lifeline to individuals and families across the area at a time when many are facing real hardship, and we’re incredibly proud to support their work through this challenge. We’ve been overwhelmed by the generosity shown so far and would like to thank everyone who has supported us and helped us raise nearly £3,000 for this fantastic cause."
