Musselburgh Athletic FC Foodbank Collection

It was brilliant to be invited down to The Olivebank Arena on Saturday 7th February when Musselburgh Athletic FC held a match day collection for us.

From the moment the gates opened, we were blown away. The team and fans arrived with bags bursting with tins, packets, and long-life essentials - you could feel the community spirit in the air, and by kick-off we'd collected an incredible 336.8kg of food. That's 802 meals that will go to families right here in East Lothian who are struggling to put food on the table.

But it didn't stop there. Supporters also donated £269.31 in cash - every penny of which will help us support local people when they need it most.

Standing there with our buckets and collection bin, watching people stop to donate despite the February weather, was genuinely moving. The generosity from everyone - players, staff, fans - was overwhelming.

To everyone at Musselburgh Athletic FC, and to every single person who brought something along or dropped something in our bucket - thank you for standing with us, standing with your community.

You've made a real difference to your neighbours, and we can't wait to be back later in the year for another collection.
