If you joined us last Friday at our AGM thank you for coming. It was great to see so many of our community partners, supporters and volunteers.
For those who weren’t able to make it, our theme this year was Together in Partnership and championed the working relationship we have built in our shared community that allow us to continue our work.
Our Chair Simon, Foodbank Director Elaine and our Treasurer Paula shared the Foodbank’s achievements of 2025/26. Alongside future goals, some positive highlights from throughout the year and the real stories we hear on a daily basis from the people we support who are experiencing hardship.
Thank you to Simon Glover, CEO of Reuse Scotland for giving a great keynote speech walking us through the years we have worked together and the joint impact we have achieved.

People don’t realise that by donating items they are not just reducing landfill, they are supporting the foodbank and helping those in our community. Local resources, stay local, supporting local people and strengthening our community
We’d also like to thank Tranent Parish Hall and their kitchen team who hosted us in the heart of our community and provided a beautiful breakfast for our guests, the rolls were very well appreciated!
At the foodbank we like to say to our volunteers ‘without you there is no us’, their unwavering dedication ensures we can continue to deliver vital support to local people. But in fact, it applies to everyone who shows up for East Lothian. Together we can continue to keep making a difference for our community
