Meet our Trustees

SOMETHING ABOUT MY PAST/PRESENT

I am married with two grown up children. I worked for over 35 years in banking, the last 25 in Corporate Banking. I took early retirement from The Royal Bank of Scotland in April 2019 and took the opportunity to move from Lancashire to East Lothian.

What brought you to the foodbank

Following my move to the area I was keen to keep busy and was looking for volunteering opportunities. I saw in the Courier that the treasurer of the food bank was retiring and they were looking for somebody with a financial background to take over. It seemed like destiny.

A comment about poverty and hunger in East Lothian

I had always assumed that East Lothian had no need for a food bank but am rapidly finding out that the need is definitely there and unfortunately becoming more so over time.
